Well, I guess I have decided to make this a thing. Today I upgraded to a domain name so there is no looking back now!

One thing I like to do is be creative, rather it is with poetry, short stories, or gardening. So I thought I’d show you this idea I came up with a few days ago about making a “flowing” flowerbed.

We bought 5 acres about a year ago and have recently set up a camping trailer out here, got an electric pole set up, and have now moved onto the land. This place is completely overgrown with weeds, hackberry trees, and invasive bushes, and cleanup has been a nightmare so far. However, we are making progress!

That story aside (more of it to come later) while we were clearing the other day, we came across this antique plow. There is no telling how long it’s been there, but by the picture I uploaded to google images, it could be anywhere from 150 – 100 years old. What a cool find!

Then, I got an idea. I remember one time seeing a picture of an old wash bin that had been turned on its side to let the dirt fall out, and then they planted flowers to make it appear as if they naturally slid out perfectly upright. I thought, why not do something similar with the plow? So what did was stand it up using some bars and then planted a ton of wildflowers in a long row behind the plow. My idea is that once they come up and bloom, it will look like they are coming up as the plow is moving.

Now, I’m not sure if that is going to work or not, but it is worth a try, isn’t it? That is one of the things I want to do out here. Be creative. Be in nature and experiment with new and old things together. Will it look like the picture in my head? I have no idea. But I can’t wait to see if it does! And besides that, what does it hurt to add a few hundred more wildflowers out there in the world for the bees?

I’ll update this in a few weeks to let you see how it worked. Thanks for reading!
